By using redflag-check.info (the "Tool"), you agree to the following. If you do not agree, please do not use the Tool.
redflag-check.info is a free, informational tool that shows whether a given address may fall within, near, or outside an active National Weather Service (NWS) Red Flag Warning, using publicly available NWS data and supplementary wildfire-risk data from Pyrecast. It is built and maintained by a volunteer, is not a government service, and is not affiliated with the National Weather Service, CAL FIRE, any Fire Safe Council, or any other government or emergency-response agency.
This Tool is provided for general informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for official emergency alerts, evacuation orders, or guidance from local fire authorities, law enforcement, or emergency management agencies. Always follow official evacuation orders and instructions from local authorities, regardless of what this Tool shows. In an emergency, call 911. The Tool does not determine whether you are subject to an evacuation order — for evacuation information, consult your county's official emergency notification system (e.g., Genasys Protect, your county's alert sign-up) directly.
The Tool relies on third-party data sources (including the National Weather Service and Pyrecast) that its creator does not control and cannot guarantee are accurate, complete, or timely. The Tool is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy, completeness, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Technical issues, data delays, or outages may occur.
You use the Tool entirely at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the creator of redflag-check.info disclaims liability for any loss, injury, death, or damage arising from or related to use of, or inability to use, the Tool, including reliance on any information it provides. Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit liability in any way not permitted by law.
These Terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the Tool after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
In an emergency, call 911. For official alerts, sign up for your local emergency alerts. This Tool is informational only and is not an official emergency service.
